Sustainability Indicators Report The world steel association released the 2022 edition of the Sustainability Indicators Report, which uses 8 indicators to measure the performance of the global steel industry in the 2021 fiscal year (the division of fiscal years in different countries and regions is slightly different) in terms of economy, environment and society. In terms of environmental performance, in fiscal year 2021, the carbon dioxide emission intensity of the iron and steel industry is 1.91 tons of carbon dioxide/ton of steel, the energy intensity is 21.31 GJ/ton of steel, and the raw material utilization efficiency is 97.34%. In terms of social performance, in fiscal year 2021, the lost time injury rate in the iron and steel industry is 0.81 work-related injuries/million working hours, and the employee training rate is 6.71 training days/employee.
