Introduction to Carbon Steel Plate

Carbon steel plate is a kind of carbon steel with carbon content less than 0.8%, which contains less sulfur, phosphorus and non-metallic inclusions than carbon structural steel, and has excellent mechanical properties.
Carbon structural steel can be divided into three categories according to different carbon content: low carbon steel (C ≤ 0.25%), medium carbon steel (C is 0.25-0.6%) and high carbon steel (C>0.6%).
Carbon structural steel is divided into two groups according to different manganese content: normal manganese content (0.25% - 0.8% manganese content) and high manganese content (0.70% - 1.20% manganese content). The latter has good mechanical and processing properties.
Carbon steel sheet is the product with the most extensive application and largest output in steel. Its purpose is to directly process various products and other steel products, such as steel pipes and coated steel plates. It can be divided into hot rolling and cold rolling according to rolling method. According to the quality conditions required for use, it can be divided into four categories: general use, drawing use, deep drawing use and structural use.
