Classification of carbon steel

 Classification of carbon steel

According to its yield strength grade, it is divided into five grades. The commonly used grade of steel structure is Q235 steel. The grade of steel consists of four parts in order: the letter representing the yield point, the value of the yield point, the quality grade symbol, and the deoxidation method symbol. Such as Q235AF, where "Q' is the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "Qu" at the yield point of the steel; "235" is the value of the yield point of the brand steel, indicating that the yield strength of the steel is "235N/MM"'; "A '' is the quality grade symbol of steel, which is divided into four grades: A, B, C, D; "A" grade is the lowest grade, "D" grade is the highest grade; "F" is the Chinese word "boiling" for boiling steel The first letter of the pinyin indicates that the steel is boiling steel. If the letter "B" is marked at the end of the steel grade, it indicates that the steel is semi-killed steel. "B" is the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "ban" for semi-killed steel; The first letter stands for killed steel; the letter "TZ" is the first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "Tezhen" for special killed steel, which stands for special killed steel. In the expression method of steel grade composition, the symbols "Z" and "TZ" are omitted, and the four symbols "F", "B", "Z" and "TZ" indicate the degree of deoxidation during casting of steel ingots. Killed steel is a steel that is fully deoxidized with aluminum, silicon, etc. It emits less gas during casting and has good quality, but it is expensive. Boiling steel is deoxidized by ferromanganese. Due to insufficient deoxidation, there is boiling phenomenon in the steel ingot during casting, and the quality is not uniform enough, but the productivity is high. Between killed steel and ebullient steel is semi-killed steel.
