2. Thin plate is a thin plate manufactured by hot rolling or cold rolling process with a thickness of 0.2:-4 mm. The width of the sheet is 500-1400 mm. Sheets can be made of various materials according to different usage requirements. Commonly used materials are plain carbon steel, carbon steel, alloy structural steel, carbon tool steel, stainless steel, spring steel, and silicon steel for electrical purposes. Widely used in automobile, aviation, enamel, electrical, machinery and other industries. In addition to thin steel sheets delivered directly after rolling, there are also pickling, galvanizing, and tin plating.

3. Generally, the welding performance of high-strength steel plates is excellent, which can be seen in various large-scale weldments. However, the trace elements contained in each steel plate are different. The higher the steel plate, the higher the hardness and the more carbon it contains. Steel plates used for ship structures are referred to as steel plates for ships. Due to the harsh working conditions of the hull, the hull is subject to chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion, marine organisms and microbial corrosion, the hull is under the action of waves and currents, the strength and load of the hull change, and the complexity of the hull shape, etc. The use of high-quality steel puts forward stringent requirements. First of all, the most important thing is to have good toughness, in addition, it must have high corrosion resistance, welding, machinability and appearance. In order to ensure the quality of the product and ensure its strength, it must reach a chemical composition of 2.5 or higher, and must be a factory certified by ship inspection.
